What we believe.
We believe in one sovereign God, existing eternally in three persons in perfect unity – the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit – each of whom possess all characteristics of deity and personality. God has no beginning and no end. He is the uncreated creator of everything.
We believe the 66 books of the Holy Bible to be the Word of God. The Bible is inerrant in the original manuscripts, verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit and the final authority in all matters concerning faith and conduct.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus is both fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life and was crucified as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins. He rose from the dead on the third day and ascended into heaven, where he is now exalted at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for the believer. He is the only Lord and Savior.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that all have sinned in thought, word and deed and are under the just wrath of God. Man is separated from God by his sin and cannot save himself by anything he does.
We believe that salvation is wholly a work of God's grace and a gift from God to all who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Upon such repentance and trust, the sinners’ sins are forgiven and the righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed to him.
We believe in one true, world-wide church, consisting only of those who are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit and have been baptized into Christ. These true believers follow Christ as his disciples by the power of the Holy Spirit who indwells them.
We believe that Jesus Christ will return visibly and bodily in power and glory to judge the living and the dead, to receive his own and establish his kingdom.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men – the believers to eternal life and fellowship with God in Heaven and the unbelievers to everlasting punishment and separation from God in Hell.
We believe that Jesus Christ has commissioned the church to proclaim the gospel in word and deed throughout the world to all men and to make disciples of all nations.
